The week when the whole world came to a standstill and there was silence......
Singer/violinist/composer Azhaar Saffar made her reputation with internationally acclaimed Brazilian jazz group, SIRIUS B. When the group parted ways after 10 amazing years , Azhaar disapeared into the wilds of Costa Rica. She finally resurfaced to form her new ‘world -jazz’ group, Global Wave.
Their successful first release, Original Love, featured Snowboy's massive production of the title track and the magic flute of renowned jazz flautist Gareth Lockrane. This album made a big splash on the airwaves worldwide!.Global Wave have since been wowing audiences with their sunshine grooves, rhythmic fusion, and the poetry of the songlines…continuing the world jazz experience of Sirius B, enhanced by Azhaar’s soaring violin.
